Important Notice Regarding Failed Authorization Fees for Selected Card Products
Dear Customer,
We would like to inform you about an upcoming fee change affecting selected HexaCard card products. This change is required by the card networks, including Visa and Mastercard, as well as our banking partner, and will take effect on February 20, 2026.
Affected Card Products
The following card products will be subject to the new fee:
-
Card 428803
-
Card 428813
-
Card 555782
Failed Authorization Fee
Starting from February 20, 2026, a fee of $0.43 USD per failed authorization attempt will apply.
This fee may be charged when a merchant submits an authorization request that does not result in an approved transaction. Examples include, but are not limited to:
-
Insufficient card balance
-
Card is frozen, blocked, closed, or cancelled
-
Transaction declined by the issuer, banking partner, or card network
-
Merchant retries a failed payment
-
Subscription or recurring billing attempts on an inactive or cancelled card
-
Any authorization request that is not successfully approved
Please note that this fee may still apply even after a card has been cancelled if a merchant continues submitting authorization attempts for that card.
How the Fee Will Be Deducted
The failed authorization fee will be deducted directly from your HexaCard wallet balance. Please ensure your wallet maintains sufficient balance and take the necessary steps to avoid unnecessary failed authorization attempts.
How to Reduce Failed Authorization Fees
To minimize the risk of these charges, we strongly recommend the following actions:
Remove Your Card from Merchant Platforms
Many merchants, subscription services, and online platforms may continue sending authorization requests if your card remains stored on their systems.
Unbind Your Card Before Cancelling It
Before cancelling a card, please remove it from all websites, applications, and subscription services where it may have been saved.
Contact the Merchant if You Cannot Remove the Card Yourself
If you are unable to access your account or remove the card manually, contact the merchant’s support team and request removal of your saved payment method. We also recommend keeping a record of your request.
Review Active Subscriptions and Trial Services
Some platforms automatically retry payments after a failed attempt. Please review all active subscriptions and update or cancel payment methods where necessary.

This fee is not introduced independently by HexaCard. It is a requirement imposed by the card networks and our banking partner for failed authorization attempts related to the affected card products.
